Activities measured by the protease-coupled assay are shown by the open symbols; activities measured by the protease-free peptide assays are shown by the solid symbols. The activities are given as k/k0, where k and k0 are the rate constants of isomerization in the presence and absence of these proteins, respectively. The activities were determined at 15°C as described in MATERIALS AND METHODS.
