Single-molecule force measurements between importin-β mutants and Nup153-C. The rupture force between Nup153-C on the glass substrate and various importin-β mutants on an AFM cantilever was measured by AFM as described in Fig. 1B. The results were summarized in the histograms. The schematic illustrations of the importin-β constructs are shown in the histograms.
