Band shift experiments were performed on templates containing an abasic residue in the presence of increasing concentrations of INDOPY-1. The left panel shows complex formation with no abasic sites while the middle panel shows the abasic residue at position n. The right panel shows complex formation when the abasic residue is at position n+1. The control C lane represents the complex formed in the absence of heparin trap.
