Nuclear encoded mitochondrial gene expression and mitochondrial mass in Tfam knockdown cells. The relative mRNA level of various nuclear-encoded mitochondrial genes (A) and nuclear encoded mitochondrial related regulators (B) was determined by qRT-PCR at day 5 in cells transfected at day 2 with scrambled or Tfam-directed siRNA oligonucleotides. Results are expressed relative to scrambled control values.
