Enzyme activity was measured by quantifying (A) nitrite and (B) ¹⁴C-L citrulline formation in cardiomyocytes stimulated or not (control) with LPS (1 μg/ml); LPS (1 μg/ml) plus IFN-γ (20 ng/ml); LPS (25 μg/ml); IFN-γ (20 ng/ml); IL-1α (0.125 ng/ml); IFN-γ (20 ng/ml) plus IL-1α (0.125 ng/ml). Results are represented as Mean±SD (n=4 nitrite). Citrulline results represent the average of two experiments.
