Adult cardiomyocytes were pre-treated with ascorbate and BH₄ for 6 hr before addition of LPS and cytokines for 12 hr. Conditions include: LPS (1μg/ml); TNF-α (20 ng/ml); IFN-γ (50 ng/ml); ascorbate (75 μM)/BH₄ (10 μM). Values represent the mean±SD of at least 3 experiments.
