Detection of frequency of OVA-specific CD4⁺ T cells. Mononuclear cells from the spleen, MLNs, PPs and iLPs of mice fed OVA-pσ1 or PBS were stained with FITC-conjugated anti-CD4 mAb and PE-labeled OVA/I-A^d tetramer. Samples were subjected to flow cytometric analysis using FACSCalibur™. The actual percentages of OVA-specific CD4⁺ T cells were indicated in the upper right region. The results represent the mean values ± SEM from 12 mice in each experimental group and are taken from three separate experiments. The profiles represent typical results and are taken from one of three separate experiments.
