Control HeLa cells (shCont1) were either left untreated or treated with anti-Fas antibody for 14 h, and mitochondria were isolated in the presence (BMH) or absence (DMSO) of a protein cross-linker. Subunit 6 of complex I was used as loading control. The different proposed caspase-8 oligomers are indicated on the right. Asterisks indicate higher molecular weight multimers of caspase-8.
