Increases in odor investigation time were correlated with enlarged Layer Ia (afferent fiber) laminar area and decreased Layer Ib (intrinsic fiber) laminar area in PN28 rats. As described in the text, this effect was most pronounced in CPPG chronically infused pups compared to controls.
