Table 1.

Body weight, liver weight and total fat pad weight of wild type, heterozygous and homozygous BCMO1-deficient mice fed β-carotene diet. Numbers represents mean ± SD for 4–5 animals/group. Baseline measurements were carried out at 6 weeks of age and β-carotene diet (100 μg β-carotene/g diet) was provided to mice for 4 and 7 weeks. Body, liver, and fat pad weights were not statistically different among all three genotypes at all time points.
