ImmunoCAP inhibition assays. ImmunoCAP IgE inhibition of purified Jun a 1 by native and treated samples of Jun a 1 protein. R/A = reduced and alkylated, Gu = guanidine denatured, Gu–R/A = reduced and alkylated after guanidine denaturation, Heat = protein heated at 75 °C for 1 h. Reduced and alkylated protein was similar to native protein in inhibiting IgE as shown by Wilcoxon signed-rank test (p = 0.4652). For Gu, Gu–R/A and heat-treated samples, there was significant difference between native and treated samples (p = 0.04311, α = 0.05).
