Effects of hydrolyzed products of cPLA2 on membranes in DITNC cells. (A) The treatment with arachidonic acid (AA) for 1 h caused cell membranes to become more molecularly-ordered, as indicated by positive GP-GPo values. (B) The treatment with lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) for 1 h did not cause a significant change in GP. (*p < 0.02) (GPo = −0.038±0.016 is the GP of control cells treated with ethanol, as both AA and LPC were dissolved in ethanol.) (C) GP distribution of DITNC cell membranes treated with AA (left) and LPC (right).
