Rounded ECP-treated Bge cells with formazan crystals. Bge cells were seeded onto coverslips, treated with LGP32 ECPs for 24 h, and then incubated for 4 h with MTT and fixed with paraformaldehyde as mentioned above. DIC microscopy revealed groups of rounded and closely associated cells. These cells display long crystals of formazan, indicating active MTT metabolism despite the ECP treatment.
