‡For 1998 the indicator is condom use at last sex with someone other than a spouse or regular partner. For 2003 it is condom use at last sex with a non‐marital, non‐cohabiting partner.

¶In 1993 and 1998 the question was whether the respondent knows someone with AIDS or who died of AIDS. In 2003 the question was whether the respondents knows someone personally with AIDS or who died of AIDS.
