FZP-withdrawal has no effect on AMPAR GluR2 subunit incorporation in hippocampal CA1 asymmetric synapses. In contrast to changes observed in GluR1 immunogold labeling during FZP-withdrawal, no significant (p>0.05) changes in either percentage of synapses labeled (A) or mean GluR2 immunogold density (B) was observed between the two groups (n=4 control and 3 FZP-withdrawn rats/group).
