Oxygen transport out of the vessel by mixtures composed of 7.5 g/dl RBCs and 50% of formulated HBOC [Hb]. The transport is the negative of the difference in luminal O2 content. Results are shown for high (Bi = 1) and low (Bi = 10) extra-luminal resistance cases. The shaded area is the amount of O2 transport spanned by 7.5 g/dl RBCs (lower bound) and 15 g/dl RBCs, i.e., normal hematocrit (upper bound).
