The Gaussian density is the posterior predicted distribution of effect sizes based on an experiment with n = 24 and an effect size d1 of 0.5. The probability of supportive evidence of any magnitude is the area to the right of zero. The sigmoid represents a utility function on effect size. The expected utility of a replication is the integral of the product of these functions.
