EGF translocates α2-chimaerin in a PLC-dependent manner. HeLa cells were transfected with pEGFP plasmids encoding for wild-type (wt)-α2-chimaerin or P216A-α2-chimaerin. After 24 h cells were serum starved for another 24 h and then treated with EGF (100 ng/ml, 1 min) alone or in the presence of the PLC inhibitor U73122 (5 μm). Cells were fixed and visualized by confocal microscopy.
