Original Referral Criteria Refined Referral Criteria
  • Young age: 18-35 y.o.

  • Self-reported unprotected sex/HIV exposure

  • Diagnosed STI

  • 2 or more signs/symptoms of ARS (fever, lymphadenopathy, pharyngitis, myalgias, rash)

  • Recent HIV exposure/unprotected sex

  • More than one sexual partner

  • Age difference with sexual partner ≥20 years

  • Flu-like illness within last month (acute infection) or last 3 months (recent infection)
