Western blot analysis of the wild-type MPAO1 strain. Cells were grown in succinate minimal medium with the indicated iron and heme supplements. Lane 1, molecular mass markers in kilodaltons; lane 2, 100 μm FeCl₃ and 25 μm hemoglobin; lane 3, 25 μm hemoglobin; lane 4, 100 μm FeCl₃; lane 5, 500 μm 2,2′-dipyridyl. Cells were harvested 6 h post-inoculation, and 20 μg of total protein was loaded in each well and separated by SDS-PAGE.
