Separation of 5′ RACE products obtained from RNA extracts of wild-type and rpoHII mutant cultures after 10 min of photooxidative stress. PCR products obtained after the second PCR (nested) were separated on a 10% polyacrylamide gel and stained with ethidium bromide. Upstream of the 5′ ends of the sequences corresponding to the depicted DNA bands, RpoHII target sequences were found and are depicted as aligned sequences below the gel image.
