Genes that influence the acquisition of thermotolerance in yeast. Cells grown in YPD medium were subjected to heat shock (37°C for 30 min and 50°C for 30 min) and spotted on YPD to measure acquired thermotolerance. The scores on the right indicate the strengths of their thermotolerance phenotypes compared to those of wild-type (WT) and Hsp104-deficient cells. The hits are arranged based on their thermotolerance scores.
