(A and B) Arbinogalactan-linked mycolic acids were extracted from M. tuberculosis H37Rv (A) and bacA::hyg (B) strains, and MALDI-TOF analysis was performed. (C) TLC of trehalose-linked mycolic acids (TDM). After TLC separation of [1-14C]acetate-labeled glycolipids containing mycolic acids, TDM was scraped from the plate and extracted.
