(Left) Intracellular l-proline content was measured after cultivation in liquid SD medium at 30°C for 2 days. Each bar represents the mean result and standard deviation from five independent experiments. (Right) Approximately 106 cells of each strain and serial dilutions of 10−1 to 10−4 (from left to right) were spotted onto SD plates containing 25 μg of AZC/ml. The plates were incubated at 30°C for 3 days.
