Increased epithelial proliferation, measured by BrdU incorporation, in VP of 6-month-old LXR mutant mice. Columnar epithelial ducts (A) and cuboidal epithelial ducts (B) were analyzed separately for BrdU positivity. The results are expressed as positive cells per 1,000 epithelial cells (mean ± SD).
