Loading the fridge with units of blood |
-The person in charge of the refrigerated blood store physically enters the bags:
-Select ENTER.
-In the window that opens, read the CDM and EMC/BAG/USEcodes of the bag with the scanner. Click on SEARCH. The menu shows ENTER and, after a few seconds, the door of the fridge can be opened.
-Place the bag in the only compartment open.
-When the message OPERATION SUCCESSFUL appears, click OK.

Withdrawals of bags allocated by EmoNet® |
-With the transfusion request processed by EmoNet® at hand, the nurse should:
-Select WITHDRAWAL.
-In the window that opens, read the request code with scanner. Hemosafe® will show the identity of the patient and present the allocated bag.
-Confirm the selected unit; the menu shows WITHDRAW.
-The fridge can be opened; it is only possible to withdraw the allocated bag.
-Read the CDM and EMC/BAG/USE on the bag with the scanner. The printer prints the allocations labels (two copies).
-Attach the allocation labels – one on the bag and one on the request form.
-Use the scanner to read the CDM and EMC/BAG/USE on the bag, the patient’s CAI and the CDMN on the allocation label. The printer prints the delivery form.
