By 1 h postinjection, thresholds in mutant mice recovered to the mean value from wild types (23 dB SPL at 22.6 kHz: Figure 5B). Strychnine produced no systematic effects on wild-type (WT) thresholds. Here, DPOAE thresholds for f2 = 22.6 kHz were repeatedly measured before and after a 30-mg/kg i.p. strychnine injection in a Chrna9wt/wt and a Chrna9L9′T/L9′T. The effect of strychnine was concentration-dependent as shown in Figure S3.
