Changes in the Chain Length Distributions of Glucans Extracted from Leaves of the Quintuple Mutant Lacking All Four DBEs and the Endoamylase AMY3.
Phytoglycogen and insoluble glucans were prepared and analyzed as in Figure 2. Peak areas were summed, and the areas of individual peaks were calculated as a percentage of the total ± se of three technical replicates. The difference plots shown were derived by subtracting the relative percentage values of wild-type amylopectin from the quintuple mutant glucans. Open symbols are placed at d.p. 3, 7, and 12. The se values of the compared data sets were added together. For ease of comparison, the difference plot of phytoglycogen from the quadruple DBE mutant (grown alongside the quintuple mutant, without se values) is shown in white.
