Left: binding of SEMA3 to NRP and A-plexin. The sema domain of SEMA3 binds the a domains (CUB) of NRP. The PSI/Ig/basic region binds the b1b2 domain. Right: binding of VEGF165 to NRP and VEGFR2. The HB domain of VEGF165 binds the b1 domain of NRP and the N terminus binds the 2d and 3rd Ig domains of VEGFR2. VEGFR2 has a tyrosine kinase activity, but not plexins.
