Table 1.

The β- and γ-shift values for selected 13C′ resonances in [L]SSI and [V]SSI.

Residue β-shift (Hz) γ-shift (Hz)
Val13 6.1 2.5
Val16 6.1 1.9
Val31 n.d. 2.6
Leu33 n.d. 3.2
Leu53 7.0 n.d.
Val78 6.6 1.9
Leu80 6.5 1.6
Val82 7.1 2.9
Val85 6.1 2.3
Val91 n.d. 2.2
Val96 6.1 n.d.

All of the data were collected on a Varian XL-300 spectrometer (13C frequency of 75.4 MHz) under the conditions of pH* 7.3 at 50 °C. These isotope shifts were found to be independent of pH* in the range from 6 to 10. The notation “n.d.” indicates that the isotope shift was not detected.
