The waters near the N-terminus of chain A occupied electron density that was occupied by a glutamate in the NCS-related chain B; the electron density (contoured at 1.0σ) was not fully connected. The waters were removed and replaced by an N-terminal glutamate. After further refinement, connected electron density was obtained for the glutamate backbone.
