Effect of prereactivation intra-BLA DCS on cocaine seeking. The number of active and inactive lever presses during the 60-min tests are presented for rats infused 3 d and tested 6 d after the end of self-administration training (A) in both the reactivated (PBS n = 8, DCS n = 7) and nonreactivated (PBS n = 6, DCS n = 5) conditions. DCS increased subsequent active lever responding across both bins in a reactivation-dependent manner, and the elevation was observed in a further test 24 h later (B). Data presented as mean + SEM.
