Given the high sequence identity and similarity between HXK1 and HXK2 genes, dsRNA against HXK1 is also predicted to target HXK2. B, RT-PCR analysis of members of hexokinase gene family. Mock-transfected protoplasts (Control) and dsRNA-transfected protoplasts (RNAi) were collected for RT-PCR analysis after 24 h of transfection.
