A, dsRNAs corresponding to the 3′-UTR regions of HXK1 and HXK2 genes were synthesized in vitro and transfected into protoplasts to interfere with the expression of HXK1 or HXK2. B, RT-PCR analysis of HXK1 and HXK2 after RNAi against 3′-UTR regions of HXK1 or HXK2 genes. Mock-transfected protoplasts (Control) and dsRNA-transfected protoplasts (RNAi_hxk1 and RNAi_hxk2) were collected for RT-PCR analysis after 24 h of transfection.
