Effect of the pH of the absorption solution on NO₃⁻ net uptake into roots of Cleopatra mandarine seedlings. For the cHATS (A), NO₃⁻ net uptake was measured at 0.2 mM NO₃⁻ in uninduced seedlings. For the HATS+LATS, NO₃⁻ net uptake was measured at 3 mM NO₃⁻ in uninduced seedlings. The value of LATS only (B) was obtained by subtracting the values of HATS from HATS+LATS (data not shown) for each treatment.
