The initial concentrations of all molecular species are varied simultaneously, with deviations ranging from 0 up to 200% of the steady state concentration at ρ = 0 Gy (range is divided equally into 100 intervals). Hypercube sampling, which involves random permutations of these intervals, is used to select 101 unique Latin sets of initial conditions. The percentage of these sets of initial conditions leading to high-p53 state at various selected ρ is computed. A total of 10 independent hypercube samplings are performed and the result of each hypercube sample is shown in the figure as a bar.
