BHK cells transfected with ABCG1 were labeled with [³H] free cholesterol in 10% FBS for 24 h and upregulated with or without 10 nM mifepristone for 18 h. The cells were then incubated with HDL₃ (25 μg/ml) for 8 h and 18 h, and the media were collected for measuring the radioactivity and FC mass. Statistical significance (P < 0.05) was assessed between the untreated and mifepristone-treated (ABCG1) cells at each incubation time point.
