The fertility of male mice harboring the Crybb2^Phil mutation was assayed by mating adult animals with ICR females for 90 days and the litter size and overall fecundity (pups produced per 30 day period) was assessed. No significant differences were found in either litter size or fecundity for the small N (5 matings) although mutant males produced fewer litters of pups overall than wildtype males.
