Reaction rate measurements were performed in triplicate. Values of k_cat were calculated from the V_max considering a protein molecular mass of 64.63 kDa. The k_cat/K_m standard errors were obtained by fitting the normalized Michaelis-Menten equation as: v = (k_cat/K_m)[S]/(1 + [S]/K_m).
