AR, dCBP, and dSir2 are predominantly recruited to the ARE at heterochromatic loci in the presence of androgen. Larvae from flies expressing AR protein and harboring an ARE-GFP-white reporter transgene at heterochromatic loci (A) or euchromatic loci (B) were grown on the media with vehicle or DHT (10⁻⁵ M) for 5 days. ChIP assays and ChIP/re-IP experiments were performed using specific antibodies against AR, dCBP, and dSir2 as indicated.
