Only rare CD8+ T lymphocytes express CD25 and Foxp3 within peripheral blood. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 12 healthy (HIV-1-uninfected) subjects were analyzed for expression of Foxp3 and CD25 in CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocyte subsets by flow cytometry.
