The current sample was comparable to the nontreatment seeking and treatment seeking, obese samples on anthropometric (e.g., MBMI = 35.8, 32.5, 38.1), and demographic variables (e.g. Mage = 40.1, 36.4, 39.0; percentage of females = 83.3, 82.0, 73.7), respectively. All samples were without chronic illness not secondary to obesity and had comparable levels of SES.
