Placement of clonidine microinjections within the amygdala, but outside of the CeA did not result in TFLs that differed significantly from baseline. Intra-CeA microinjection of clonidine (1.25μg) is shown for comparison. Microinjections of clonidine (1.25μg) specifically targeted to the BLA did not result in significantly altered TFLs. Microinjections of clonidine (5μg) into the amygdala, but not within the CeA or BLA (either unilaterally or bilaterally) also did not result in significantly altered TFLs.
