Overlay of the position of all of the docked compounds in the human alkyltransferase active site with the native ligand O6-methylguanine and parent inhibitor BG. All of the potent inhibitor poses in green (compounds 1, 2, 4, 5 and BG) are oriented in the same way as the native ligand O6-methylguanine. The ineffective inhibitors O6-[2-(aminomethyl)benzyl]guanine (3) in red and O6-[2-(methyl)benzyl]guanine (6) in yellow are not oriented in the same way as O6-methylguanine. The rest of the color code is the same as Figure 4.
