Rates of solvolysis (k), half-life (t1/2), and pH rate profile for solvolysis of 34 at pH 2–7. Importantly, the intrinsic reactivity of 34 indicates that while o-spirocyclization of iso-DSA represents an alternative mode of activation,26,27 it is less productive than the more conventional p-spirocyclization.
