Fig. 6

Phantom experiments of fitted background optical properties versus iteration. Intralipid was used as the first layer and the silicon phantom 1 was used as the second layer. The depth of the intralipid layer was 2.4 cm. The measured optical properties of Intralipid were μa=0.022 cm-1 and μs=7.2cm1, and those of the silicon phantom 1 were μa=0.06 cm-1 and μs=15cm1. (a) and (c) Fitted layer absorption coefficient versus iteration for first and second layers, respectively, and (b) and (d) fitted reduced scattering coefficient versus iteration for first and second layers, respectively.
