Effect of ubiquitin E1 inhibitor on late gene expression. HeLa cells were inoculated with vpJ2R-CAT (A) or vpF17R-CAT (B) at 4°C for 1 h. The cells were then incubated in fresh medium containing the indicated concentrations of UBEI-41 at 37°C. After 8 h, CAT activity was determined.
