Figure 4.

Constitutive ethylene response phenotypes ETP1 or ETP2 knockdown plants support a function in ethylene signaling. (A) Ethylene response phenotype of 3-d-old etiolated seedlings of amiR-ETP1/ETP2 plants. The plants were grown on MS media supplied with (left panel) or without (right panel) 10 μM ACC in the dark for 3 d. (B) Measurement of hypocotyl length of amiR-ETP1/ETP2 3-d-old etiolated seedlings. Each measurement is the average length (mean ± standard error) of >10 hypocotyls. (C) Phenotype of 5-wk-old amiR-ETP1/ETP2 plants grown on soil. (D) amiR-ETP1/ETP2 mutant plants flower and silique morphology. The plants were grown on soil with 16-h light and 8-h dark, the flowers and siliques were photographed for 8-wk-old plants or 10-wk-old plants.
