A) Non-resistant (HT29, HCT116 p53+/+, HCT116 p53−/−) and resistant cells (RHT29, RHCT116 p53+/+, RHCT116 p53−/−) were assessed by MTS for its response to oxaliplatin treatment. The dose-response curve shows a higher IC50 for the resistant cell lines than for the parental cells as expected. Results are represented as mean±SEM for 6 samples in each group. B) HT29 and RHT29 cell lines were treated or not with oxaliplatin at 10 µM for 48 hours and apoptosis induction was detected by Annexin V/IP staining. These are representative graphics of 3 samples per group, showing less apoptotic induction in the RHT29 cell line. OXA: oxaliplatin.
