FIGURE 4. — A subpopulation of MILI is associated with polyribosomes. Sucrose density gradient analysis of adult mouse testicular extracts, with and without EDTA and micrococcal nuclease (MNase) treatment. Absorbance at 260 nm indicates the polyribosome profile. The presence of polysomes in various fractions was verified by the presence of 28 and 18 S rRNAs in the corresponding fractions. MILI in individual fractions was detected by Western blot analysis.
